This is where many teams discover that they are collecting data without creating operational clarity.

Developer experience

I also care about whether the system is easy to work in.

That includes:

  • how much tribal knowledge is required to ship safely

Good developer experience is not separate from reliability. In mature systems, the two reinforce each other.
